Political Trends | Ron Paul’s “End the Fed” Could Change American Economic History
Political Trends
With the Federal Reserve and Ben Bernanke making mistake after mistake, as his predessors have, a growing movement spearheaded by Ron Paul to close down the Federal Reserve is gaining a lot of support and momentum, and will be reinforced by Ron Paul’s latest book “End the Fed.”
Most Americans have been relatively in the dark about the highly secretive practices and policies of the Federal Reserve, and now for the first time since its inception in 1913, Americans have a growing interest in not only learning about it, but also in reining back the unprecedented and unchecked power inherent in the organization.
Ben Bernanke and his supporters have been fighting hard to keep things quiet, even battling the bill introduced by Ron Paul, H.R. 1207, which would allow a full and complete audit of the actions of the Federal Reserve, something that is now protected under law from being performed.
Even some supporters of the Federal Reserve are starting to understand the disaster that bailing out the auto and banking industry will have on the future of America, and are questioning how the consequences of those actions can now be managed, as it’s opened up a Pandora’s box which may not be able to be handled.
These huge businesses that were “too big to fail,” are now even bigger, and leaders know they can do almost anything they want and the government will offer up taxpayers dollars to bail them out. That’s a dangerous scenario that came about from government interfering with free markets and the private sector.
This is the basic reasoning behind “Ending the Fed,” although it’s far more than the current actions and policies which are under scrutiny, it’s the entire history and reason it was secretly created in the first place.
“End the Fed” is scheduled to be released in September and can be pre-ordered now.
