Health Trends | New Concept Cerebral Palsy Walking Device Helps in Occupational Therapy
Health Trends
The new concept walking aid for those over the age of 5 with cerebral palsy is a welcome entrant into the field of helping those who deliver therapy for those with cerebral palsy.
The unit named CPLEGIA, is built to use for children over the age of five, and works in three different stages to help in cerebral palsy occupational therapy.
For the first stage, the user simply sits in the device and uses their legs to move around.
In the second stage those with cerebral palsy can, with support from the walker, straighten out and walk.
When they reach the third stage, users are able to stand up straight without back support and use the walker to navigate around.
It’s great to see a tool that can be used to aid those with this type of challenge and difficulty.
