Summer Glau is one of my favorite actresses, and has found a niche in the Sci Fi genre playing the roles of a tough, but unassuming female. She starred in Firefly/Serenity and the Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles.

Joss Whedon has liked working with Glau, so it was almost certain she would get some role in Dollhouse after it was revealed there was an interest by both to insert her into the story.

The one thing Whedon had expressed was Glau wouldn’t play the role of one of the dolls, as that would be too obvious a move.

Fox revealed that Glau’s characters’ name will be Bennet, who will work as an employee of the Dollhouse. Her character will share a past with lead active Echo, played by Eliza Dushku. Rumors are she’ll make her first appearance in episode five of the second season.

The role of Bennett will be recurring for Glau on Dollhouse, and I’m looking forward to seeing how her latest character is portrayed and how Glau fleshes out the role. Looking forward to it.

I’m really looking forward to season two. I’m thrilled that she’ll be on and that Amy’s coming back too along with Alexis so it’s like a reunion. I really want to find out more about Whiskey.
