The first official photo from Avatar has just come out and it’s of paraplegic war veteran Jake Sully, played by Sam Worthington, and his Na’vi Avatar lying behind him.
How it’s explained is the consciousness of Sully will be transferred into the Na’vi Avatar you see in the photo, where Sully will be able to navigate the world Pandora as a healthy being.
The reason this will work, according to the science of the story is the body is made from a combination of human and alien DNA.
Even the first of the collectibles, an A.M.P Suit Maquette from Sideshowtoys, which they’ll have available to pre-order on August 20.
