While Eliza Dushku has appeared in a number of different film and TV projects, she has definitely cut herself a niche in the fantasy and Sci Fi genre’s.

What’s nice about that is even though it’s a specialized audience, when you’re in with the Sci Fi fantasy fans, they’ll follow you no matter what projects you get involved in.

Dushku has appeared in a number of films including True Lies, Bring It On and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

According to Dushku though, the role that got her noticed and opened doors for here was as Pearl in This Boy’s Life, where she starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro.

That may have opened doors, but what endeared her to fans was her role as Faith in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, where the fan base took notice, fell in love with her, and have followed Dushku ever since.

So it’s not surprising in her role as Echo in the Fox series Dollhouse that they migrated there to enjoy her performance, and have made a lot of noise, which could have influenced a second season of the series.

Dushku is also looing to be in the production side of things, and to that end has her own production company called Boston Diva, of which she is CEO. She is now also one of the producers of Dollhouse.

Evidently Dushku was pressured into nude photos in Allure, as she had sworn she would never be seen nude, and that you had a better chance of seeing God.

Other film projects Dushku has been working on recently are Open Graves, Noah’s Ark: The New Beginning, Valediction, Wet, and The Perfect Moment.

Her fantasy and sci fi fan bases ensures her she’ll have a following for some time to come. The question is whether she will try to parlay that into a wider fan base or ride it as it is.
