Colin Farrell is a study in contradictions, as on one hand you hear about the silly exploits and decisions he’s made like a sex movie with a former girlfriend and hitting on the elderly Dame Eileen Atkins in 2005, who was 70 at the time.
On the other hand Farrell has a son named James who has a rare form of cerebral palsy named Angelman Syndrome, and he actually has a mature and wholesome attitude toward his son in loving and taking care of him, and promising to do everything he can to help him lead a good life.
Some of Farrells more notable film successes include Tigerland, Phone Booth, Daredevil, Alexander, Miami Vice, Minority Report, and S.W.A.T.
2009 has been a busy year for Farrell as far as his film releases and film projects go, as he’s in the final film of Heath Ledger: The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, and three other projects named Crazy Heart, Triage and Ondine are all in post-production.
He’s also busy on two other projects to be released in 2010: The Way Back, which is in post-production, and London Boulevard, which he is in the middle of filming.
Many of the colleagues of Colin Farrell consider him one of the best actors of his generation. It may be a little early to assert that, but he has the potential to be one of the great ones.
