TV Trends
Trying to talk up the upcoming installment of the Battlestar Galactica series - Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, Edward James Olmos exhorted the audience that it was going to be “monumental,” even though confirmation that what is expected from the show is already known by fans supposedly won’t take away from it.
If you haven’t heard yet, the show is a look at the first 281 days of of the conflict from the Cylon perspective.
So much of the detail of the Cylon plan has already been revealed, that It’s hard to understand how monumental it could be, but you never know.
I guess with Star Wars it was the same thing. We had the overall understanding of where Darth Vader came from, but getting into the details of that didn’t seem to bother the fans of the story. So maybe that will be the same with Battlestar Galactica fans.
Olmos claims it’ll make everyone go back and watch the series again once they see the details of the cylon plan.
The made-for-TV film will air in September on SyFy, with a DVD of Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, having an additional 30 minutes of the story when it comes out.
