While I knew this would be inevitable, it is disturbing to me that octomom Nadya Suleman is being rewarded for her poor decisions by being offered a reality TV and book deal, and will be held up by some as some type of role model for single moms.
There’s nothing positive about the single mom role, which study after study has shown to be very difficult and negative upon the children.
The one good thing is at least she’s getting an income to take care of them, and hopefully the public won’t have to pay for her behavior.
According to her attorney, Suleman’s reality TV gig will be different than the Jon and Kate Gosselin show, which has become somewhat of a fiasco, and created huge pressure on the couple.
For Suleman, her series will evidently focus on unique events in the life of the children, including birthdays and other significant and important things in their lives.
At this time, no one in America has picked up the show, and the strategy is to get it going in Britain and then bring it to the U.S.
For the book Suleman has signed with Wendy Lee, who ghost wrote the book by the brother of Madonna, Christopher Ciccone, named ‘Life with My Sister Madonna.
In the book she will talk about her childhood, children and the donor dad.
I could see the book possibly doing ok, but I’m not sure too many people would care about her family life, as people from all sides of the spectrum thought her actions were irresponsible and ignorant.
Suleman now has 14 children.
