Sanyo Taps YouTube Video Stars to Promote ‘Xacti HD’
YouTube video stars, including Lisa Nova, , AlphaCat, ApprenticeA, Rhett and Link, Mr. Safety, Brandon Hardesty and iJustine, were enlisted by Sanyo to promote their digital camera, the Dual Camera Xacti HD.
The stars use their video and humor skills to let their audience know about the features the Xacti has, and how it can enhance their video experience.
When watching the videos, there is an ad overlay letting you know the video was produced with the Exact, as well as near the end of the video when it’s communicated right out by the star.
Working with the digital A-listers was Madison Road Entertainment, a brand content company.
Only about a week after putting her video ad version of the Exacti up, Lisa Nova has drawn over 1.5 million fans to watch it. Some of the others have yet to have theirs put online yet.
